What are synchronicities?

Have you ever looked at the clock and it read 11:11, then your receipt at the store came to $11.11? Or maybe you notice the date printed on something is 11.11. Either way, you feel like this same number keeps coming up no matter where you go or what you are doing. The number sequence could be anything: 444, 555, 111, 26262, 4646, 8989, and so on. The number itself doesn’t matter much, it’s the fact that it is coming up so much that you begin to take notice of it. Some people believe that a certain number has meaning to it, and these are referred to as “angel numbers” You can look them up and get a message about what they might mean to you. This is a nice concept, and I used to do this myself. However, if you google a number sequence, you will end up getting twenty different meanings to the same number. Although it can be fun to look up the meaning of number sequences that you are noticing, the actual meaning of why you are seeing this can be extremely difficult to pinpoint. And before you get upset because I’m being a party pooper when it comes to angel numbers, allow me to explain why first! The reason I am saying that angel numbers are nothing more than a fun idea, is because the repetitive synchronicity you are seeing is directly associated to you personally. This is not just some random coincidence that just happens to keep repeating in your reality. In my opinion, there are NO coincidences. Everything is for good reason, and these numbers you might be noticing are actually signs from the universe trying to get your attention. The problem is, are you paying attention? Are you listening to what the universe has to say to you? Let’s delve a little deeper into this, shall we?

These subtle messages are not always just from the universe, but can also come from your spirit guides, passed loved ones, angels, your own higher self (your soul) elemental spirits, nature spirits, and ancestors. These messages are sent to you personally when one or more of these beings are trying to communicate with you, and it’s usually because they have something important to say. Perhaps they want to let you know you’re doing a great job when it comes to the lessons you’re meant to be learning, maybe they want to give you praise for another ascension and helping the collective rise as well. Or maybe they are coming to warn you about something, or someone. The reason they use number sequences to catch your attention is, well, because it works. Once you see 444 on the clock, license plates, receipts, and everywhere else you go, you will then start to question if you’re seeing things or slightly going crazy. You are not crazy, in fact, you are tapping into a higher plane of existence, or higher realm. This means you’re conscious and aware of your personal reality, and you’re very much open to receiving messages from a higher force. Figuring out what they mean is the tricky part. The guides, and the universe never speak to us in a simple way. They don’t know how to speak our language, so they speak to us in ways that might catch our attention. And this doesn’t always have to be number sequences.

The universe can speak to us in many ways to get a message across. Have you ever heard a song on the radio, then again when you walk into a store? Then maybe you go somewhere else, and the same song is playing again. Then the next day you start your car, and there it is again. There could be a hidden message in that particular song just for you. A message can also be names, initials, words, phrases, symbols, shapes, dates, animals, and so much more. The point is to get you to tune into it. For those who may not know, my name is Sara Louisa Giles. Sara Rose was developed from my very own personal synchronicity. I was seeing the word rose, the name, and even the flower everywhere I went, so I incorporated it into my name when I became a spiritual coach. Some say that when you suddenly come across a feather on the ground, and there is no valid source for the feather to be in that spot, then it is a passed loved one leaving it there for you to say hello. This is true, but it is just another way for spirit to get you to look. This can also be done with butterflies. So how do we know what the message is, what are these beings trying to tell us? The trick to figuring out what the direct message is for you personally, is that when you see the synchronicity for the millionth time, stop what you’re doing for a moment, and note what it was that you were thinking, and how you were feeling in the moment when you saw it again. This can sometimes help decipher the message someone might be trying to get to you. For instance, let’s say you are driving along, and you’re thinking heavily about bills you need to pay, and then you see your repeating number or phrase once again. Note if you feel stressed about your finances, or if you felt calm in that moment. Someone from the other side might be trying to tell you that everything will be okay, or maybe that you need to be a little more careful with your personal spending. This is just an example. Another might be that you’re thinking about a passed loved one, then a number or song that relates to that person shows up suddenly. You can be sure that this is that person stopping in to say hi and check in with you.

Synchronicities are not always numbers, names, songs, or repeating patterns. They can also be presented as recurring events, places, and people. For example, let’s say you happen to take notice of a person in a public place, and then you see them again when you’re out somewhere else days later. Then, you happen to notice the same person once again. You might even begin to think this person is stocking you. I wonder if they think the same thing, or if they have even noticed at all. Again, stop for a moment and think about why you’re seeing the same person, especially if the chances are quite slim. There must be a message somewhere in there, because everything happens for a reason. Remember, you are the one who creates your own personal reality, so you must have manifested this person for good reason. Perhaps they look similar to someone who has passed on, and your higher self is trying to get you to think of that passed loved one. Once the thought of the person comes in, the message might come straight after. Or maybe your soul knows the soul of the person you are seeing, and they are trying to connect on a higher level. The universe will bring in what we need to see, in the moment we need to see it. All in all, when you see a certain synchronicity that is personal for you, I believe that it is just a quick message from your guides letting you know that you’re on the right path, and you are right where you need to be at that moment in time. You just need to be tuned into it.

If you have never seen synchronicities before, that’s okay. Many people are too focused on the physical world around them to notice when the spirit world is trying to communicate, but there are ways that you can become more aware and tune into these subtle messages. I bet you can all guess what my first suggestion is! If you guessed meditation, then you would be correct. I know, I suggest meditation for almost everything, but it works for almost everything! Meditation is the state of mind between awake and asleep. In this state, the ego thinking mind can move to the side and we can become more aware of the hidden realm that most can’t feel or see. You can also use meditation if you’re seeing number sequences over and over and ask your higher self while in this state what the meaning might be. You may not get an answer, but it’s worth a try. Synchronicities can be a little frustrating when you try to attach meaning to them, but just like everything else in this world, if you let it be, the answers will come to you in time. Usually when you least expect it. If you’re looking for more of a fun answer to numbers you are seeing, there are a few that hold some meaning behind them in the spiritual world.

555 represents big changes coming into your reality. 666 holds the meaning of unconditional love for self and others. 444 means you’re safe and protected by spirit. 111 means you’re exactly where you need to be. 333 represents the holy trinity, mind, body, soul. 222 signifies the Ying and Yang within all of us. Of course, these can be displayed as single numbers, double, triple and even in fours. The amount of the same number just means that the message is more profound and probably quite important to the sender. There are lots more, and it is fun to look up the angel number, just don’t take the message so seriously if you do google them. Remember, the message is very personal and direct to you and only you. If you are seeing synchronicities, no one else around you in your reality will be seeing this, it’s just for you. So, googling it won’t do much but give you a fun idea of what the number might mean. The message can only be sought out from inside of yourself, not on the outside. Try not to get frustrated if you keep seeing numbers or any of the other examples, you will figure out the message when you’re meant to. Instead, when you see it for the 828,250th time, just give a smile and know that everything is happening for you right when it’s meant to.
